Mechanical Technician is a professional who performs routine technical procedures with close supervision or as part of a work team. Performs routine technical procedures and makes few decisions. Reports to and supervised by Technologists. They need to travel to different sites and work consolidated work week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems and travel to different sites
- Implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
- Customer Asset Management
- Create JSA

**Required Qualifications**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Good knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Willing to travel and work in fields at various client locations
- Should be physically active and fit for work
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Great organizational and time management abilities.
- Willingness to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs outside of business hours.
- Willingness to work on consolidated work week.
- Proficient in using I-Pad and other devices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $220.00-$235.00 per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Red Deer, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Mechanical: 1 year (required)
- Canadian Driving: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (required)
