**POSITION**:Quality Assurance Supervisor**
**REPORTS TO**: Quality Assurance Manager
As a key leader on the Quality Assurance team, the QA Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the HACCP
Food Safety programs and protocols are executed effectively at our facility. As a Quality Assurance supervisor, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining Food Safety protocols for our facility.
**MAJOR DUTIES**
1. Responsible for HACCP maintenance, ongoing HACCP reassessment, monitoring and verification.
**Identify any Food Safety and HACCP-related Work Requests generating from Interior Premises**
**Audits, Sanitation Monitoring, Pre-op inspections, 3rd Party audits, or any Food Safety failures.**
2. Assist and accompany CFIA inspectors during performance of their CVS tasks and Risk Based sampling.
3. Update SOPs and forms from HACCP reassessments, program changes, etc. as necessary
4. Conduct monthly audits to verify compliance with FSEP pre-requisites bullets and HACCP.
5. Assemble and lead annual HACCP reassessment team.
6. Conduct pre-requisite program reassessment and audit.
7. Prepare and support various Audits including internal audits.
8. Perform record verification & CCP operator competence verification.
9. Maintain, update, and ensure consistent execution of the HACCP program to align with internal and external requirements.
10. Supervise a staff of QA Technicians and/or QA Coordinators ensuring that tasks are conducted consistently, efficiently and aligned with the needs of the business.
11. Plan QA staffing requirements according to production demands.
12. Assist with analysis of data to determine root cause of deficiencies and provide feedback on performance and necessary improvements.
13. Participate in cross functional SOP development and ensure that facility SOPs and related documents are in correct format, properly stored and distributed as per manufacturing excellence requirements.
14. Conducting monthly GMP, internal and external audits with cross-functional team and identifying opportunities for improvement.
15. Lead cross functional teams completing incident investigations where food safety or food quality may be compromised.
16. Take lead on execution of various initiatives to improve the quality and safety of our products.
17. Support QA team as required (back-up for various roles, etc).
18. Other duties as required.
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
1. University degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
2. 3 to 5 years food related experience in areas of GMP and HACCP principles and programs.
3. Must have in-depth HACCP experience including program development, implementation of programs and auditing of the program.
4. Proven ability to lead and coach.
5. Superior communication skills.
6. Detail oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
7. Strong systems skills (including MS Office).
**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
