Job Scope: The **Junior Maintenance Technician** is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facilities. The role involves working under the supervision of the department manager to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring production efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and air-filled systems to identify and resolve issue.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule.
- Support the installation, calibration, and upgrading of manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs of all performed tasks.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure mínimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers with complex repair and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in a related field (e.g., industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from operations management.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.
- Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certification in maintenance-related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical, welding).
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Basic knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
