**Room Attendant - the Royal Hotel Chilliwack**

Located in historic downtown Chilliwack, the Royal Hotel was established in 1908 and continues to be a desired heritage boutique destination. We are looking to hire reliable Room Attendants that fit in well with our existing collaborative team environment to provide every guest with a positive and enjoyable experience.

**Hotel Housekeeper Responsibilities**:

- Address Guests in a Warm and Friendly Manner.
- Inspect Rooms for Damage, Missing Items, etc. Reporting Issues to the Manager on Duty.
- Service Assigned Rooms Following Assigned Checklist.
- Tend to Common Areas as Directed.
- Ensure all Assigned Rooms are Clean and Tidy by the End of the Shift.
- Report any Technical Issues and Maintenance Needs.
- Assists Guests and Staff in an Approachable, Proactive, and Efficient Manner with Appropriate. Follow-up as Necessary (e.g. on Additional Services).
- Works Collaboratively with Front Desk Team.
- Follow Hotel Security Guidelines.
- Other Duties as Assigned by House Keeping Supervisor, Rooms Division Manager or Hotel GM as Required.

Must be willing to work daytime/afternoon/evening/weekends/holidays with flexibility within reason. **Hotel Qualifications / Skills**:

- Must be Able to Lift at Least 25 lbs (e.g. Bending, Pulling, Lifting, and Scaling Stairwells required).
- Able to Work Within Prescribed Time Constraints Without Compromising Quality.
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills and the Ability to Follow Instructions as Directed.
- Professionalism and Customer-Oriented Service.
- Capacity to Work Independently as a Valued High Performance Team Member.
- Excellent Organizational, Prioritization and Time Management Skills.
- Positive and High Energy Levels and Friendly Customer and Teammate Facing Demeanor.
- Thoroughness, Attention to Detail, Follow up (a Self Starter).
- Consults with Supervisor for Difficult or Unique Situations/Issues.

**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:

- High School Diploma
- Prior Resort or Hotel Experience Preferred

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
