Forestry Summer Student

**FORESTRY SUMMER STUDENT**

Two positions located in Thunder Bay**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Enrolled in a post-secondary Forestry or Renewable Resource or Environmental Program (College or
- University) and returning as a full-time student in the fall of 2025.
- Knowledge and Experience of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
- Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in Data Collection.
- Experience in a Utility or Industrial environment.
- GIS/GPS Mapping and Surveying experience.

**GENERAL DUTIES**:

- Participate in our urban forestry inventory management.
- Assist in data collection with surveying activities and interpretation.
- Perform and document field measurements.
- Assist in updating documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with an excellent driving record and ability to pass the driver’s proficiency
- test (as performed by a third party).
- May be required to travel to Kenora, ON intermittently for specific projects.
- Must successfully pass Police Information Check and Drug & Alcohol Testing.

**HOURLY RATE: $20.00**
