**Position Summary**

Working as part of the OPE & Construction team, the OPE & Construction student will be primarily responsible for the following:
**Major Responsibilities**
- Perform field audits of Tbaytel Plant, utilizing GIS software.
- Enter daily schedules into workforce management system
- Maintain records of all outstanding work assigned
- Prepare utility maps for construction and buried service activities
- Database management, files and maintains both paper and electronic filing systems
- Prepare work order completion forms, and co-ordinate with contractors for the installation, transfer, removal or rearrangement of services
- Maintain and update customer, system, and plant records related to Dispatch Control and Construction
- Compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data to be entered into internal systems
- Perform administrative tasks such as generating reports, producing trouble statistics, and auditing records
- Provide support to Field Operations team in the execution of various tasks and projects
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Completed high school diploma and currently enrolled in college or university in an Engineering or GIS related program
- Completion of an introductory GIS course (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience with ESRI GIS Mapping and/or AutoCAD software
- Experience in utility or telecom outside plant infrastructure would be an asset
- Proficient with typing and data entry
- High accuracy skills and attention to detail
- Valid G class license
- Able to work indoor and outdoor in various conditions (training will be provided)
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and manage constant interruptions
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Demonstrates professionalism

**Conditions of Employment**
- To qualify as a student, you must be in full-time attendance in your graduating year of High School or at a Post-Secondary School prior to summer employment and be returning to a Post Secondary School on a full-time basis in the fall of this year.

A Criminal Records Check is a CRC which searches the National repository for criminal records in Canada via the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). It also identifies pending criminal code charges and outstanding warrants.
