**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Manager of Water Operations and Maintenance, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the operational staff, water meters and locates.
- Oversee the Metering, AMI and Locates programs:

- Manage weekly repair schedules, establish meter calibration schedule, and review contracted service work for compliance with City standards.
- Project management and contract administration activities, including the City’s metering contract and associated services/equipment tenders.
- Review and assess water usage alarms, analyze water usage patterns, and troubleshoot issues with the AMI system, dispatching City staff or contractors as needed.
- Provide monthly status reports on AMI system operations and contracted services.
- Address escalated customer complaints related to water billing discrepancies or metering issues.
- Coordinate industrial/commercial metering projects, coordinate seasonal meter program, issue meter vouchers and schedule meter inspections for new builds.
- Manage Locates workflow, ensure compliance with the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012 and Ontario One Call processes to minimize risk and protect the integrity of the City’s underground infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to staff for AMI mobile data capture tools, meter data management systems and other systems such as Field Logic, Korweb, Maximo.
- Supervise, train, and develop team members to ensure outstanding service delivery.
- Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various activities.
- Provide back up coverage to the Supervisor of Water Operations and Maintenance.
- Coordination and refinement of the Division’s demo control processes.
- May be required to participate in CU after-hours on-call rotation.

**What you will bring**:

- A post-secondary degree or a 3-year diploma in engineering, environmental studies, or a related field, with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in municipal utility operations. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Water Quality Analyst certification and Water Distribution Level 1 certification (or greater) is an asset.
- Plumbing experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in GIS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Maximo, ESRI VertiGIS, and mobile data capturing systems is an asset.
