Smoky Lake County is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Public Works Department as a Seasonal Full-time Labourer, reporting directly to the Public Works Manager as members of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 955. _The position will be effective from May 19, 2025, to September 30, 2025._

**Duties will Include**:

- Assisting in tree removal and chipping.
- Equipment Operation: operating small machinery and vehicles as required
- Patching and crack filling roads
- General Labour: assisting with tasks as directed by supervisor

**Credentials Required**:

- Valid Alberta Driver’s License (minimum Class 5) with a clean Driver’s Abstract
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to take mandatory training, as required by the County
- Previous experience in public works or related fields is an asset but not required

This position offers a wage based on the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 955, Collective Agreement with Smoky Lake County.
