**THE POSITION**:
Norfolk Disposal Services is currently seeking a permanent part-time transfer station attendant/heavy equipment loader operator to work at the transfer station in Simcoe, Ontario working alternating Saturdays year-round or on an “as needed” basis during the week when required.

**JOB INFORMATION**:

- Permanent part-time position (approximately 8 - 12 hours per week)
- $22.50/hour

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have a minimum of 3 years recent and demonstrated experience as a Loader Operator
- Must be available to work alternating Saturdays (8:30 am - 1:00 pm)
- Must be available to work during the week on an “as needed/on call” basis when required
- Reliable and punctual for all shifts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions year-round
- Safety conscious

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Direct incoming vehicles to the appropriate tipping area
- Inspect all incoming loads to ensure there is no solid/liquid hazardous or asbestos waste
- Operate a loader moving waste and loading open top trailers/containers
- Ensure that all roll-off containers are properly secured
- Conduct pre/post trip inspections on equipment and document it daily
- Operate and inspect transfer station equipment daily
- Maintain equipment (fluid levels, grease) and cleanliness
- Sort and separate materials for recycling
- Prepare materials and loads for transport
- Ensure that property is clean of garbage and weeds
- Respond to questions from the customers
- Assist or perform other duties as required
