**Core Objectives**:

- Have full working knowledge of all menus, daily specials and banquet event orders
- Take corrective action if a member is not satisfied and bring the situation to the attention of management

**Main Duties**:

- Report for duty punctually wearing the correct and clean uniform and shoes
- Ensure all A la Carte orders are served correctly and as quickly as possible
- Assists in the preparation of foods as required for A la Carte, BBQ’s, Buffets and Banquets
- Ensures the best quality produce by properly storing, cutting, blanching and cooking all product(vegetables, fruits, etc) as pertaining to banquets, a la carte, and daily specials.
- Assists in the physical plate-up of banquets or functions
- Properly cook, portion and store foods relating to our standard recipes
- Keeps station neat and clean at all times
- Assure the highest quality food for a la carte keeping food fresh, in proper rotation and storing properly
- Assists in dating, storing and properly rotating all received inventory as directed by Cook 1(s)
- Have a la carte services ready and operational for service
- Keeps all wastage to an absolute minimum, records the same on a wastage report form and informs Chef/Sous Chef of any significant loss of product
- Organizes all fridges, freezers, storage rooms
- Perform related miscellaneous duties as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef that pertains to total operation of the Club’s food and beverage outlets.
- Set the example of being professional at all times
- Clean and maintain all operational equipment used by/for food services and our food and beverage department(ie: fridges, meat slicer, robo coup, griddle, etc)
- Maintain and ensure teamwork and good work ethics with you colleagues and all other departments
- Have a complete understanding of the Club policies, rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Assist fellow workers in their duties whenever possible without neglecting your duties
- Practice safe work habits, comprehend and enforce the Health and Safety policy of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club
- Report any accidents to members, co-workers or yourself immediately to management.
- Report any breakage or shortage of plates, glasses or food service equipment to Chef or Sous Chef
- B e aware of the basic rules of sanitation and hygiene, safety, breakage and accident prevention.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $16.55-$21.00 per hour
