**Requirements**:
- **Minimum 1-year recent experience** in a surveying or geospatial role with experience in using GNSS systems and GIS.
- **Minimum 1-year recent experience** using a Total Station.
- **Minimum 1-year recent experience** in heavy civil construction and/or surface mining.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil3D, GIS software and in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Valid G class driver’s license (or equivalent) and clean driver’s abstract.
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification or willing to obtain prior to employment commencement (training can be provided at the employer’s expense).
The Surveyor at Labrosse Consulting Inc. will support the Lead Surveyor in conducting detailed surveys using UAVs, GNSS systems, and other advanced technologies on various sites including civil construction and mining sites. This role involves assisting with the setup and operation of surveying equipment on various sites, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection. The Surveyor position offers less experienced individuals a valuable learning opportunity, where they can acquire hands-on knowledge from successful industry professionals.
- High school diploma OR equivalent. Post-secondary education in geomatics, surveying, OR a related field is an asset but not required.
- Strong understanding of Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations and standards. Familiarity with industry-specific safety requirements.
- Understanding of surveying principles, methods, and technologies. Familiarity with civil construction and mining site requirements.
- Willingness to obtain certification as a licensed UAV Pilot through Transport Canada by internal training programs.
- Proactive with a good attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks such as carrying equipment and setting up survey markers. Ability to lift at minimum 44lbs on a regular basis.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but NOT required.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 50 per week
