This position is open to direct service providers (DSP)

**What we Offer**:

- Competitive rate of **$48 /hour**:

- **Shift: 4 on and 3 off with 10 hour days**:

- ** 2 month Term - with possibility of extension**

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
- Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
- Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
- Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
- Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
- Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
- Other duties as assigned

**Role Specifications**:

- Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) required
- H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS and First Aid required.
- Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) considered an asset.
- Minimum Class 5 license (cannot be GDL), with no more than 4 demerits on abstract in last 3 years
- Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
