**Job description**

As the first person of contact between the customer and the mall, you are the face of the Seaway Mall and as a result will be relied upon to provide excellent customer service and respond to all inquiries efficiently. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager the successful applicant will also be responsible for the following main duties:

- Promoting & processing gift card sales through cash, debit, and credit card transactions
- Operation of Smart Venue and Card Spot software system
- Daily gift wrapping, helium balloon orders, wheelchair and stroller rentals, and other various sales such as; bus passes, garbage tags, Ice Dog tickets, etc.
- Refilling of ink cartridges for customers at Ink Station
- Filling Balloons with Helium
- Answering and directing all incoming calls and inquiries in a professional manner to appropriate department
- Operation of in mall announcement system
- Assisting customers in locating stores, lost items or person(s), and any other issues that may arise
- Providing general information to the public in relation to the Seaway Mall, Community Events etc.
- Contacting Security and Maintenance for store employees and/or customer needs, promptly and with accurate detailed information
- Maintaining a daily inventory and reconciling to sales report on a daily basis
- Daily cash deposits
- Clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, and mail processing
- Assisting with special events
- Monitoring and maintaining the Parents Nursing Room
- Maintaining the customer service desk to ensure a clean and professional appearance
- Other duties as assigned by Customer Service Manager

**Qualifications**:

- An understanding of Seaway Mall’s services, store knowledge, and surrounding community
- Computer software knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to remain composure in stressful situations
- Commitment to detail and accuracy
- Related clerical experience is preferred
- Previous Customer Service or Retail experience is an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 3,4 or 5 hour shifts
- Days, Evenings, Weekends

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
