**About the role**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Co-op Partnership Development**:

- Identify channels and networks to build connections with local businesses and government agencies.
- Organize and implement partnership events and career fairs to increase career opportunities for students.
- Work closely with marketing and operations to attract new business and government partners.
- Develop, monitor, and create strategies for ideal partner profiling and engagement.
- Collaborate with the academic and curriculum development team to incorporate business partners' skill set requirements into existing or future programs.
- Track partners’ engagement and student co-op placements.

**Employer Relations and Retention**:

- Develop and deliver presentations to inform prospective employer partners and agencies about how SELC programs prepare students for their careers.
- Conduct regular visits to employer partners to monitor students' performance and progress, and identify additional placement opportunities.
- Resolve any concerns arising from co-op placements for students and employers.
- Assist the marketing team in updating and improving the college website, social media, and other marketing materials related to co-op placements.
- Organize and implement employer appreciation events.
- Develop and conduct facility tours to promote the school's academic and non-academic achievements.

**Co-op and Practicum Placements**:

- Update co-op and practicum student records and documents, including background, interests, career goals, placement details, and completion details.
- Coordinate and deliver co-op compliance meetings.
- Organize and participate in student orientations.
- Respond to inquiries from existing and potential students about available programs and assist in preparing study plans.
- Contribute to the production of course-related learning support materials and online resources.
- Refer prospective students to financial aid and rewards sources as applicable.

**Job Readiness and Job Search**:

- Assist students with cover letter and resume development and revisions for work experience and career development purposes.
- Provide support for mock interviews to prepare students for active placements.
- Coordinate guest speaker events related to job seeker strategies.
- Provide customized job search support for students looking to advance their careers.

**About You**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct cold calling as part of outreach efforts to build employer relationships.
- Familiarity with HR sourcing methods to identify and attract top talent.

This position is essential for fostering connections between students and employers, ensuring that both parties achieve their goals in the employment landscape.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
