**DUTIES - Outreach Coordinator** **Part Time**

**Job Purpose**:
To assist with outreach ministry at St. Mary’s parish for 18 hours per week

**Job Expectations**:

- Love to work help and work with people living on the margins
- Understand and teach Catholic Sacraments and Social Justice Teachings
- Ability to facilitate a small or large group and lead them through a reflection
- Team player who is also able to work independently
- Detail oriented and organized (ie. planning and running specific outreach events)
- Comfortable speaking on the telephone and in person with parishioners
- Ability to work with graphic company to produce signs and pamphlets
- Work to the highest standard of ethical practice with maturity, diplomacy and confidentiality always
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with a strong ability to inspire and motivate
- Proficiency using Google Docs, MS Suites, and social media platforms
- Ability to work with children, seniors, young adults, and everyone in between
- Ability to follow directions and requirements provided by supervisors
- Responsible for fostering wellness and self-care with behaviors that promote a healthy and safe work environment.

**Required Qualifications/Experience**:

- Previous experience in teaching
- Education in Religious or Theological Studies
- Demonstrated ability to organize meetings and events
- Experience in the non-profit sector
- Familiarity with faith-based projects or organizations
- Vulnerable sector check

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON N2H 3W7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
