**Overview**:
Doro Inc is a Ottawa-Nepean, ON based company that provides and manufactures retail security products and emergency evacuation chairs. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for R & D, fabrication & assembly. This is a full-time on-site position.

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Fabrication of our current products

Ø Modify and improve designs during the R & D process to create, support, fabricate and test new products

Ø Conduct inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot problems

Ø Repair or replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

Ø Use many in-house designed jigs for mass production

Ø Work with aluminum, steel, and several different fabrics

Ø Create new parts using our FormLabs 3D printer

Ø Work with all shop tools and materials

Ø Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines

Ø Maintain accurate records of product repairs or builds and submit notes and write up procedures for Quality Management System (FDA) documentation

**Qualifications**:
Ø Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role

Ø Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment

Ø Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting mechanical issues

Ø Familiarity with logic controllers and low voltage systems

Ø Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ø Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Ø Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
