Do you love helping people achieve their financial dreams? We are currently seeking an **Investment Specialist** to join our Newton (Surrey) branch. The Investment Specialist (IS) is responsible for ongoing service delivery and the proactive sale of investment products to a portfolio of assigned customers. This role is focused on wealth planning with mutual funds and has no lending responsibilities. The IS will provide a superior level of customer service to enhance individual customer relationships and ensure that both individual and branch goals/objectives are achieved. In support of our customer-centric service model the IS also sources opportunities and makes referrals to senior advisors and other business lines as appropriate.

**What you’ll do**:

- Manage an assigned book of investment business encompassing primarily term deposits and mutual funds
- Build and maintain strong, trusted member relationships by providing customized service based on customers' investment planning needs and risk profile
- Review and analyze portfolios on a regular basis and recommend adjustments to balance the portfolio based on client objectives and risk assessment
- Proactively build business and membership both within the current portfolio and new clients
- Participate in business development plans and activities to build networks for new customers or referrals for potential customers, and establish relationships with potential new customers through proactive networking, sourcing and follow up
- Provide consultative services when required for mutual fund investment-related member interactions managed by branch management and staff
- Share industry trends and product knowledge with the branch proactively or through regularly scheduled branch meetings.
- Interview customers, analyze current wealth management products, and refer customers to an Investment Advisor if the assessment determines a need for financial planning, estate and tax planning or life insurance products

**What you bring**:

- Mutual funds license (must have)
- 3+ years experience in a front-line position within a financial institution with proven sales experience in RRSP / investment deposits
- Experience selling 3rd Party Mutual Funds
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Detailed experience with deposit-related products, personal lending, and residential mortgages
- Familiarity with PlanPlus financial planning software preferred
- Familiarity with PALTrak preferred
- Enrolled in the CFP program within 6 months of attaining the position
