**NOW HIRING: Alimak Raise Leader **(Gowest Bradshaw Project, Timmins, ON)

**We need a results oriented Alimak Leader who will meet the following performance expectations**:

- Safe and efficient preparation of the worksite before work commences, including shorting of blast lines, housekeeping and dust suppression
- Receive, clarify as required, and follow daily lineups from supervision
- Select, check, maintain and use proper PPE
- Know and use lockout procedures and apparatus
- Perform initial checks of workplace and equipment following the 5 point safety system, completing all appropriate check sheets. Continue to use this system throughout the shift
- Lead raise crew by example, sound decision making, and investing in the skill and knowledge of crew members
- Responsible for reading and following blueprints
- Install ventilation as per plan
- Climb to face and identify loose, completion of set-up
- Installation of ground support
- Drill off round, load and blast
- Muck out
- Timbering and installation of services
- Safe and efficient operation of equipment as per all regulations and procedures
- Provide reports and requisitions at end of shift as required
- Perform any other reasonable job tasks as requested by supervision
- Report any unsafe condition or act to supervision immediately. Rectify or isolate immediately if possible.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Specialty Module - U0064 or provincial equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years experience driving Alimak raise, Must be able to cycle a full round every shift
- Outstanding safety record
- Experience in leadership capacity preferred
- Training on specific equipment being used
- Thorough knowledge of all safety, health and environmental regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace.
