Experienced Barista

- Espresso Mastery: You'll be responsible for expertly preparing and serving a wide range of espresso-based drinks, including coffees, teas, and refreshing cold beverages.

Product:

- Product Knowledge: Ensures all customers are well-informed about our products and services.
- Quality Standards: Maintains the highest quality and consistent product standards.
- Adherence to Procedures: Follows all standard safety operating procedures as provided during training.

Service:

- Warm Greetings: Greets all customers warmly, offering fast and personalized service, building a rapport by learning their names and favorite drinks and food items.
- Order Handling: Professionally receives and calls back customer orders.
- Customer Feedback: Reports all customer complaints promptly to the manager on duty.
- Proactive Service: Takes proactive measures to prevent customer service issues.
- Order Accuracy: Accurately inputs orders into the POS system.
- Cash Handling: Accurately processes sales orders on the cash register or POS terminal, providing courteous and friendly change return.
- Telephone Etiquette: Answers the telephone courteously, offering store greetings, directions, and assisting with customer orders.
- Product Knowledge: Answers customer inquiries about coffee blends, tea varieties, and recommended serving temperatures.
- Food Service: Sells, prepares, and serves baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and other food items.
- Efficiency: Maintains an efficient and friendly service environment.

Environment:

- Stock Management: Restocks shelves when necessary and assists in weekly stock taking.
- Cleaning: Regularly cleans the coffee and espresso machines, counter area, floors, windows, grinders, and adheres to the daily cleaning schedule. Responsible for trash removal and restroom cleanliness.
- Safety: Reports potential safety hazards to the manager on duty and all employee accidents.
- Operational Consistency: Informs the manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies.

Requirements, Qualifications & Physical Demands:

- Professionalism: Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization: Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, talks, and hears. Frequently uses hands for tasks, handles objects, and reaches. May lift and move items up to 15 pounds.
- Food Handling: Regularly handles food and hot beverages.
- Experience: Requires 2+ years of experience as a server or barista.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
