Are you an experienced Cook who also enjoys sports? **Buckingham Sports Penalty Box Pub**is a full service, fully licensed restaurant inside of a hockey arena. Looking to expand out kitchen team for a busy winter season.

Must be available to work all restaurant operating hours (days/evenings/weekends/holidays). Some experience in a retail/commercial kitchen required. Food Handler Certification is desirable.. 10-25 hours a week, with the potential for more hours.

**Cook**
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of foods on the grill and other kitchen equipment as required, excels at working in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting, has a strong work ethic, is highly organized, takes pride in preparing and presenting delicious food, maintains and exceeds the company’s standards of quality and service, and assumes 100% responsibility for guest satisfaction with the quality of food served.
- Duties/Responsibilities_
- Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently, demonstrating thorough knowledge of food preparation and cooking procedures
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, sanitary, and tidy at all times
- Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
- Follow proper work procedures, work safely with kitchen equipment and promptly report any equipment/maintenance issues to the manager
- Maintain proper food handling using health and safety standards at all times
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned by manager
- Qualifications/Skills_
- High school diploma or some high school education plus work experience
- Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines in a fast paced restaurant environment
- Responsible, reliable and punctual individual who can work effectively as part of a team
- Some prior related experience, ideally in a casual restaurant or sports bar environment
- Food Handler Certification an asset
- Flexibility and availability to work all restaurant operating hours
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)
- Commitment to delivering the best service, quality and value to every customer, every time
