Who Can Apply?: **Internal (DCC Employees) and External (General Public)** - Salary Range: **$53,397- $72,087** - Employment status: **Continuing** - Term Length: - Security Level: **Secret** - Language Requirement: **Bilingual Mandatory** - Closing Date: **02/05/24** - Country: **Canada** The Coordinator, Industrial Security Program, supports the Coordinator, Regional Administration and Industrial Security, in coordinating the daily activities of DCC’s Industrial Security Program in the National Capital Region. The incumbent also gathers, reviews, enters, tracks and maintains security screening and clearance information. The Coordinator provides functional guidance to ensure deliverables and work processes are accurate, effective, efficient and in accordance with Government of Canada Contract Security Program (CSP) policy and process requirements, corresponding with CSP representatives and adjusting DCC processes and manuals, as needed. The incumbent ensures the protection of confidential information, supports the monitoring and reporting of DCC’s security sponsorship process timelines and recommends corrective measures, as required. **KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES** **The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive**: **Primary** - Provide daily coordination, issues management, workflow monitoring and functional guidance regarding DCC’s Industrial Security Program and the team’s work activities, and recommend corrective measures, as required - Administer the flow of security screening documents and information - Input, update, review, verify, amend, retrieve, track and maintain security screening and clearance information in systems and databases - Research and respond to inquiries, and support internal and external stakeholders regarding the registration process - Gather statistical and other information in order to monitor, analyze and report on DCC’s security sponsorship process timelines - Develop and prepare reports - Perform administrative duties (e.g. adding new users to the database) - Carry out document and records management activities **Other** - Ensure compliance with DCC Industrial Security Program policies and processes - Demonstrate work processes and procedures to other employees - Other duties as assigned **SKILLS** **General and Specific Knowledge** Administrative best practices Database management Government of Canada Contract Security Program **Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience** **Minimum**: college diploma in administration with a minimum of one to two years’ relevant experience **Abilities** - Demonstrate advanced administrative skills, knowledge and best practices - Operate a wide range of software, including the MS Office Suite - Manage multiple deadlines and priorities - Demonstrate attention to detail and work both independently and as part of a team - Be resourceful and highly organized - Understand the confidentiality of Industrial Security Program documents and practices **DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP** - Provide functional advice and guidance to DCC Industrial Security Program team members and other employees, and to other stakeholders **WORKING CONDITIONS** - Typical office environment with occasional travel To begin a career with Defence Construction Canada (DCC), you must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. As a condition of employment with DCC, a minimum reliability security status clearance is required and some roles may require secret security status clearance. - DCC is responsible for the Personnel Security Clearance process_. Typically to be eligible for a "Reliability" clearance, you must have five years of verifiable background information and to be eligible for a "Secret" clearance, you must have 10 years of verifiable background information. The process usually involves reference inquiries, verification of qualifications, criminal records checks, and credit checks (as required) and may require fingerprints.
