These locations, along with an extensive network of supply chains and trading partners, allow us to provide unparalleled service to our battery manufacturing customers across North America. - With our deep operational expertise, strong business relationships, and ability to proactively manage in a stringent regulatory and public policy environment, we are well positioned to expand our services and keep pace with the continued growth and evolution of the battery manufacturing market. **Title**: Health & Safety Advisor **Job type**: Full time, Permanent **Location**: Sainte-Catherine, QC Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for providing health and safety support and advice to managers and employees working at the Sainte-Catherine lead battery recycling plant. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Work closely with managers and supervisors to provide, maintain and improve site specific safety programs; - Monitor safety performance and compliance with established safety procedures and regulations; - Ensure safety hazards and risks are identified and take appropriate and timely action to control these risks; - Participate in the investigation of accidents and work incidents, support managers and supervisors in the analysis of causes and the implementation of corrective measures; - Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure that equipment, materials and processes do not create additional hazards; - Participate in monthly safety meetings; - Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure health and safety compliance, including but not limited to human resources, operators, third parties, customers and suppliers. **Experience, Skills & Education**: - Degree related to the field - Minimum (5) five years of experience in health and safety management in a heavy industry or equivalent; - Very good knowledge of laws, standards and regulations related to health and safety management; - Bilingual (French and English); - Good communication and interpersonal skills; - Ability to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to improve systems, policies and procedures;
