**Overview**
**Duties (Job Responsibilities)**
- Ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general mechanical repairs on production and industrial equipment.
- Complete and update daily repair logs on the company server.
- Address mechanical issues arising during production and prioritize repairs during production stoppages.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on mobile equipment.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
- Design, fabricate, and modify jigs, fixtures, and support tools as required.
- Evaluate and determine the most effective repair, replacement, and maintenance practices.
- Carry out other mechanical maintenance tasks as needed within the facility.
**Requirements (Skills & Qualifications)**
- Previous experience working in a **casting foundry**, heavy industrial facility, or metal manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of **diesel generators**, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical repairs, maintenance, and equipment breakdown response.
- Ability to operate or assist with **CNC equipment, millwork machines, and precision fabrication tools**.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and part fabrication is an asset.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support continuous production operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues quickly.
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
- Ability to design or fabricate simple jigs, fixtures, or tooling is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
