Responsibilities (Cook/Prep Cook) F/T or P/T
- Follow the prep checklist created by the chef
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as sandwiches, appetizers, salads, entrees etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Proven experience working in a kitchen
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen, Food Safe certification preferred
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year of kitchen experience
- Strong communication skills to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
- FoodSafe certification or willingness to obtain it
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines and protocols

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$22.62 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
