**Job Title**: Level 1 IT Support Technician
**Department**: Technology & Digital Solutions
**Reports To**: Manager, Infrastructure and Security Services
**Location**: Toronto, ON - Hybrid

**Role Overview**

The Organization is seeking a motivated **Level 1 IT Support Technician** to serve as the first point of contact for technical support. In this role, you will provide prompt, courteous assistance to staff experiencing hardware, software, or network issues. Working under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure and User Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**User Support**
- Respond to service desk tickets and user inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Provide end users with basic training and support on IT tools and security best practices.

**System Access & Configuration**
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and device setup.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support within the Infrastructure Team.

**Collaboration & Communication**
- Communicate clearly with non-technical users to understand and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

**Required Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.

**Technical Skills**
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to ticketing systems such as JIRA or similar platforms.

**Soft Skills**
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and accurately document work.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced IT environment.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
