We are currently seeking a release & Deployment specialist to join our team in Canada in EST time zone.

**Release & Deployment Manager
**Job Responsibilities Include**:

- Own overall enterprise release life cycle and manage the controlled environments and their quality gates.
- Communicate release events such as testing windows, freezes, infrastructure outages, etc.
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
- Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.
- Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
- Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.
- Responsible for communicating updates on the release activities.
- Assure assignment of release engineers and environment administrator to every release.
- Communicate with Team Leads and developers from different IT departments.
- Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
- Team up with the DevOps Team responsible for building the automation tools used to enhance our release pipelines.
- Schedule the CAB meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, dependencies & significant release record details.
- Maintains documentation related to procedures on builds and releases, notifications lists, and dependencies.
- Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- 7+ years of experience in Release management
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
- Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Cloudbees CI and/or CDRO
- Experience with Application Release Automation using Urban Code Deploy
- Experience with traditional Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
- Experience in customer facing roles: facilitating meetings, developing and presenting reports for both internal and client stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

**Preferred Skills**:

- Project management experience
- Experience with Jenkins and/or Bitbucket.

Position is Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
