Lazy Daisy’s Cafe is hiring a full-time or part-time server

Looking for an experienced server in a very busy, fast-paced brunch restaurant. Lazy Daisy’s Cafe is a very popular cafe and full-service restaurant located in the East End of Toronto known for its breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and hearty brunch menu.

Duties include:

- Knowledge of “Steps of Service” - always maintaining friendliness and attentiveness with guests
- Ensuring proper cash-out of tables
- Maintaining a clean dining area, including, but not limited to clearing dishes, scrubbing and sanitizing surfaces, taking out garbage & recycling at the end of the day, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms
- Helping with dishwashing, polishing cutlery, and other small tasks when needed

Qualifications:

- Weekend availability is a must. We are open Monday-Thursday 8AM-3PM, and Friday-Sunday 8AM-4PM, and server shifts are generally around 6-8 hours.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant, multitask, and be adaptable
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback from leadership
- Smart Serve certification - This is a licensed restaurant, so people under the age of 18 need not apply.

Wage: $17.20/hr with a wage and performance review at 3 months
