The opportunity

This role provides critical knowledge and support in the preparation, registration and maintenance of collateral securities in servicing CWB’s equipment financing loan portfolio. As a Collateral Securities Specialist, you will work to support leaders drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.

What you’ll be doing

Client Experience- Deliver exceptional client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB’s brand promise.

Internal Service Commitments- Provide equipment financing collateral securities support to an assigned branch network portfolio, leaders & client relationship managers through a continuous collaborative approach with the business and corporate departments. Corresponding with all partners, both verbally and in writing, regarding all loan processing, including inquiries.- Prepare and maintain documentation related to applicable equipment financing loans and funding, ensuring accurate and timely completion- Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and quality benchmarks for credit support are being met- Establish a collaborative and client-centric relationship with the credit support department and the equipment financing network while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure.- Ensures understanding on closing requirements with equipment financing teams, customers and attorneys as needed while ensuring that all closings occur within scheduled target dates.

Process Compliance & Optimization- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and improvement of processes which lead to consistent and predictable daily credit support outcomes across the equipment financing teams.- Ensure contributions to equipment financing collateral securities align with the Bank’s policy & guidelines to ensure equipment financing partners are able to continue to deliver exceptional customer service.- Accountability as the team member for the execution of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with Canadian Western Bank’s legal, regulatory business policies and procedures.- Actively engage in the targeted benefit realization from credit processing standardization- Demonstrates high degree of effort to achieve accuracy and consistency at all times.- Participates in projects that primarily impact functional area or specific department, adhering to standard project governance practices and operating within approved budget.- Perform due diligence as it relates to credit support activities, procedures and documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies.
