At Styrok Inc., we design, manufacture and install a lightweight exterior cladding product used to finish building façades. Our factory is located in Concord, Ontario (Keele and Highway 7). We are currently hiring a full-time production supervisor to coordinate, schedule, supervise and assist with all aspects of our day-to-day production operations. **Required Skills**: - A “jack of all trades”. Comfortable performing a variety of tasks on a daily basis. - Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude. - Strong problem-solving skills. An ability to identify and find solutions to mechanical and production related issues. - A detail-oriented personality. - A proactive personality. A person who enjoys taking initiative in identifying what needs to be done with little or no direction and in taking action to complete such tasks. - Strong interpersonal skills. An ability to coach, direct and supervise others in a manner that fosters a positive, productive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. - Desire and initiative to excel within the organization. **Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)**: - Coordinating, scheduling, supervising and assisting with the day-to-day manufacturing activities carried out by production workers and ensuring production goals are met on time (activities include: order processing, production, custom fabrication, factory/equipment maintenance, shipping) - Acting as the main point of contact regarding material orders from our subcontractors (taking orders, scheduling production, preparing and packaging orders, coordinating pickup/delivery, maintaining all associated records) - Determining resource requirements and work allocation for production operations - Ensuring that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes (i.e. ordering raw materials/supplies required; scheduling routine inspection and maintenance of equipment to prevent malfunctioning) - Proactively identifying and addressing/reporting operational or maintenance problems encountered in the normal course of business to prevent production issues/delays - Developing/updating standard operating procedures and best practices - Documenting all work instructions, procedures and production records - Acting as the first point of contact for production workers; escalating issues/problems to management and recommending measures to resolve such issues/problems - Assisting in hiring and training new and existing factory workers - Leading and coaching production workers to reduce wastage and to improve factory performance, production efficiency, product quality, and safety - Coaching, developing, and motivating production workers so they perform their functions at a world-class level in a positive, productive and professional environment which fosters teamwork and mutual respect. - Performing other duties and administrative tasks as required **Experience** - At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing plant - At least 1 year of experience managing, coaching or supervising in a manufacturing plant - Experience working in a "lean-manufacturing" environment (preferrable) **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $21.00-$24.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site parking Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - supervising, managing or coaching: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - English (required) Shift availability: - Day Shift (required) Work Location: One location
