: Part‑time, Flexible Compensation: $10 per approved guide referral + 10% of the guide’s first hosted tour Overview SeeLocal is a Calgary‑based platform where locals host unique experiences — from food tours to creative workshops to neighbourhood walks. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Student Ambassadors to represent SeeLocal on campus and help us recruit new guides. This role is ideal for students who are outgoing, well‑connected, and excited about supporting a growing local startup. Ambassadors will help build awareness, connect with potential hosts, and promote SeeLocal’s mission of showcasing Calgary through the eyes of its residents. Duties
- Act as a liaison between SeeLocal and the student community by promoting our platform and opportunities for locals to host experiences.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying and referring potential guides (creatives, foodies, athletes, photographers, etc.).
- Share SeeLocal with student clubs, communities, and social networks.
- Assist in campus outreach activities such as tabling, presentations, and engagement events.
- Provide information about SeeLocal’s mission, hosting opportunities, and platform benefits.
- Collect feedback from students and potential guides to help improve outreach strategies and platform experience. Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage outreach activities independently.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive, enthusiastic approach to representing SeeLocal.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior experience in student leadership, campus involvement, or community engagement is an asset but not required.
- Reliable time management skills to balance ambassador responsibilities with academic commitments. This position is ideal for students eager to develop professional skills, expand their network, and gain hands‑on experience in outreach, marketing, and community building — all while supporting a growing Calgary startup. - $10 for every guide you refer who becomes approved on the platform:
- 10% of the guide’s first hosted tour:
