Shkaabe Makwa is a Centre for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Wellness at CAMH that supports culturally relevant systems initiatives to achieve health equity and community wellness in collaboration with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities and service providers across Ontario. Through the implementation of wise practices, evidence-based models, trauma-informed interventions, and the advancement of research, Shkaabe Makwa strives to transform health outcomes which harmonize traditional knowledge and medical expertise.

Shkaabe Makwa is seeking an individual for a full-time, permanent, Program Consultant (Evaluator). Reporting to the Manager, Implementation, the Program Consultant (Evaluator) will support the development and implementation of evaluation and data projects utilizing Indigenous evaluation approaches, frameworks and metrics. The Program Consultant (Evaluator) will build and implement, evaluation plans for community-based and system change initiatives, using a variety of different evaluation tools (such as logic models, theories of change, evaluation frameworks, indicator development, data support systems and reporting tools). The incumbent will also have experience using a variety of approaches, such as developmental, formative, and summative evaluations.

Using and developing culturally-relevant evaluation approaches, methods, and dissemination strategies are a key component of the role. The Program Consultant (Evaluator) will facilitate and convene dialogues with a number of internal and external partners with various levels of evaluation literacy. The Program Consultant (Evaluator) will also coordinate the collection and management of qualitative and quantitative data (e.g. survey development, protocol development, data storage and quality assurance, analyses, and data visualization).

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent will have a thorough understanding of the health, mental health and social service sector, government programs and current legislation that may affect Indigenous clients. Ability to read, understand and analyze research and grey literature and explain findings to non-academic audiences. Demonstrated success working and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on team-based projects.

Excellent planning and time management skills, with ability to multi-task, produce and coordinate projects to tight deadlines. Developed interpersonal communication skills including experience developing and maintaining partnerships and networks of significant numbers of internal and external partners.

Bilingualism in French/English or an Indigenous language would be an asset. This position may require travel throughout Ontario, including remote First Nations communities.
