Job Description
**The Department - Saskatoon Emergency Departments include**: St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital and Royal University Hospital. Annual patient visits per year are 40,000 at St. Paul's, 25,000 at Saskatoon City Hospital (open 12 hours a day) and 47,000 at Royal University Hospital. Royal University Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center. Physicians hired to the Saskatoon department most commonly work at all three sites.

University of Saskatchewan - The beautiful University of Saskatchewan campus is located on the shores of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a vibrant cultural life. It is a research-intensive institution with 26,000 students and 6,500 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Science Complex and two of the largest science projects in the country - the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine. A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by the University of Saskatchewan. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
