**Summary**

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will work under the authority and supervision of the Banquets Manager, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote and sell products and services for NWAC’s event centre space.

**General duties**

The NWAC Sales and Marketing Coordinator will:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote and sell products and services for NWAC.
- Works with senior staff to develop marketing campaigns to sell products and services for NWAC.
- Promote the sale of products and services from NWAC.
- Creates visual branding tools to help ensure branding efficacy.
- Works with NWAC staff to identify marketing opportunities to promote products and services.
- Attend relevant networking events to build relationships within the community.
- Conduct property tours when requested.
- Remain flexible to complete other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Manager.

**Studies and Experience Requirement**
- Diploma in marketing or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing and sales;
- Experience with NGOs, organizations, interest groups and government or government agencies or business/corporate entities.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Knowledge on historical and contemporary issues relating to the lives of Indigenous women, girls and gender-diverse people in Canada;
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information;
- Ability to respectfully work with all other teams at NWAC;
- Experience in media scrums, setting up events, press conferences;
- Experience in Public Relations crisis management;
- Some understanding of social policy (including violence prevention and impacts, health, housing, etc);
- Strong organization skills, communication skills, and customer service attitude;
- A professional approach to the position and a team player in the work place.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Bilingualism is an asset.
