We started Enkel to disrupt the delivery of accounting services through the use of transformational cloud-based accounting technology. Today we provide managed accounting and reporting services to over 300 Canadian businesses and Not-for-Profit organizations. Enkel is expanding its presence across Canada with the goal of becoming Canada’s most trusted Accounting-As-A-Service provider.
**About The Role**
In addition to managing a team of 4-5 talented Payroll Administrators, the Payroll Manager is responsible for setting quality standards for Enkel's payroll service.

What Your Day Looks Like*
- Working closely with Payroll Administrators to ensure that they are able to deliver high quality and accurate payroll to clients
- Working closely with clients and team members to update processes to increase efficiency, client satisfaction, and decrease errors
- Providing coaching and performance management to team members, supporting team member growth and holding them accountable for results
- Staying up-to-date on employment standards and payroll tax changes, ensuring that Enkel is keeping its customers compliant with changes as they occur
- Working with the leadership team to identify market opportunities, and acting as Enkel's internal thought leader on payroll
- Reviewing certain complex payrolls prior to submission
- Auditing team member work and documentation to ensure that it meets internal documentation standards
- Working with and directly overseeing Enkel's offshore payroll delivery team
**What You Bring**
- 5+ years of experience managing people
- 8+ years of experience in payroll
- Experience working in a multi-client environment
- PCP Certification
- Experience using Payworks software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A technology enthusiast who is not afraid of picking up a app
- High attention to detail and strives for accuracy in any deliverables and auditable documentation
- Adept problem solver, who can independently troubleshoot systems or data issues and get to root causes and solutions
- Strong customer service skills and a desire to work closely with customers and internal teams
