In this role you are truly the “face” of the company to all customers in our Board & Train programs. When a customer thinks about how exceptionally well trained their dog is, they will associate the company primarily with the experience you provide them with.

That is why it is imperative the person in this role embodies our values - Honesty, Reliability and Optimism. As Head Trainer, you represent the company to all MP Canine Academy customers and graduates, and you have the opportunity to leave each person better than you found them.

You will provide high-end dog training by guiding the owners through the intake process, delivering outstanding training to their dog and then guiding the transition back into the home. This is a customer facing role and we will give you the framework and training to turn every customer experience into a positive one

You will be expected to utilize operant conditioning, marker training and balanced training techniques with the goal of training each dog from untrained to off-leash reliable in 2-5 weeks. To be a successful Head Trainer, one must excel in the caring and training of the dogs, and also the coaching of the owners with the goal of creating lasting relationships.

You will oversee the training and maintenance of all Board & Train dogs, utilizing your dog training experience and people skills to ensure that each dog-owner team thrive during and after their training experience

Your experience of using the remote collar (e-collar) and prong collar is essential to succeeding in this role, as is your grit - we are looking for the kind of person who excels in their work and their interests outside of work.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
