**Position Overview**:

Kiewit is expanding it's portfolio across BC and is looking for a Marine Construction Estimator. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex marine and heavy civil construction projects, including piers, wharves, breakwaters, dredging, and underwater foundations. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to develop competitive bids and support project execution planning.

This position is based in our Burnaby district office. Travel to sites across BC or other locations is required. #LI-RP1
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for marine construction projects.
- Develop quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure constructability and accuracy of estimates.
- Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
- Identify and evaluate potential project risks and opportunities.
- Support post-bid project transitions and handoffs to operations teams.
- Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and market conditions.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or marine construction (e.g., ports, harbors, coastal structures).
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Hard Dollar, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and support projects across North America.

- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
Compensation: $100,000 - 130,000
- Additional project-based premiums may be applied depending on assignment.
