This is an Estimator position within our estimating and business development team, focused on bidding and procuring commercial construction projects. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in **commercial general estimating**, particularly within the **construction tenant improvement sector**, to join our team. Our head office is located in North Burnaby with worksites throughout BC; the majority of the work is in the Lower Mainland.

Applicants will be expected to:

- Complete detailed cost estimate based on contract documents, specifications and bid documents
- Complete full quantity take-offs of all construction components
- Perform a review of all subcontractors, supplies and specialty items and inclusion in over all project estimate
- Create and manage a relationship with all stakeholders during the tender process
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate competitive prices
- Have a full understanding of tendering process and specific project estimates

Minimum Qualifications:

- Preferred minimum 5 years of General Contracting construction estimating experience
- Understanding of complete construction documents including contract, drawings and specifications
- Understanding of complete tendering process including but not limited to bid submissions, bonding, estimate breakdowns, procurement and general bid closing procedures
- Understanding of different bid and construction project methods including but not limited to Construction Management, Design Build and General Contracting
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including the ability to solicit subtrade partners and suppliers
- Working knowledge of estimating software, advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and a strong aptitude for adopting new technology

Salary is negotiable upon experience. Vehicle and cell phone allowance will also be provided.
