**BOOKKEEPER**
This Restaurant Group has several restaurant brands with over 2,000 employees. This position will work with the finance team, based in Langley, British Columbia. The position is reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
This is a hands-on role that will administer the company transactions for an exciting restaurant brand in Canada. In addition they will administer other accounting support duties.
**This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties**:
- Conducting full cycle bookkeeping activities
- reviewing and organizing reconciliations and month-end or period-end files;
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Post journal entries
- Import linked bank and credit card transactions
- Reconcile various accounts including bank and credit cards
- Import and manually enter invoices
- Import sales entries
- Process payables payments by cheque and credit card
- Reconcile cash and clearing accounts
- Process multi-provincial WCB filings and payments
- Process multi-provincial GST/PST filings and payments
- Process and send various reports
- Communication with Suppliers and Landlords
- Make inventory adjustments

**Required Education / Experience / Skills**:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in bookkeeping;
- Experience in Quickbooks bookkeeping software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- A bookkeeping certification or training program would be an asset;
- An analytical thinker and problem solver;
- Meticulously organized and task-driven;
- Self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented.
- Strong skills in verbal and written communications
- Logical and good with numbers & data details
- Excellent skills in time management
- Strong people skills and great desire to produce quality work
**Experience**:
- Bookkeeping: 2 years minimum
- Quickbooks: 1 year minimum
Licence/Certification:
- Bookkeeping certification or training program an asset
