Joining Alliance Truss Ltd as a **Design Manager**, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete operation of the department. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality design solutions that align with our brand and business objectives.

**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Manage and lead the team of designers providing direction, feedback, and support throughout all stages of the design process.
- Act as the key Mitek software resource within the division, working with Group Central in troubleshooting and implementing enhancements.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
- Determine staffing needs, participate in recruitment, and develop job descriptions and specifications.
- Review and participate in performance and disciplinary evaluations for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Verify and approve timesheets, following established approval workflows and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for all design department tasks and work with staff to continuously improve them
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to continuously improve our design capabilities and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Develop and implement design strategies that support company goals and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge/Abilities**
- Proficiency with design software like AutoCAD, or Revit, and industry software MiTek (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
- Expertise in identifying and resolving design issues, optimizing designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Experience leading and managing a team of designers and/or engineers
- Passion for continuous learning and a commitment to fostering a culture of learning and development

**Wage at $100,000 - $110,000 + Bonus Program**
