**Job Summary**:
**Essential Functions of the Job**:

- Assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and systems under supervision.
- Support the Maintenance team with troubleshooting equipment issues, performing repairs, and documenting work in the maintenance system (MVP).
- Participate in predictive maintenance activities and help identify opportunities for equipment reliability improvements.
- Learn and follow all plant safety, food safety, and quality procedures, including HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and other relevant certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and assist with inventory management of spare parts.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support operational requirements.
- Take initiative in learning mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems through on-the-job training and classroom learning.
- Actively participate in the apprenticeship training process and complete required schooling and hours as outlined by the Ministry of Labour and Skilled Trades Ontario (STO).
- Report equipment or safety concerns immediately to the Maintenance Manager.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for Food Safety and reporting any non-compliance issues to their immediate supervisor.
- Backup for this role is alternate level II or III Maintenance Technician.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Registered 433a Millwright Apprentice (non-ticketed technicians, apprentice level I)
- 1 year of experience in a maintenance related role in a food manufacturing environment

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve

- Strong attention to detail
- Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook software

**Additional Considerations**:

- The location for this role is in St. Davids, Ontario, Canada

**Work Environment/Physical Demands**:

- 100% of the work is performed in a production environment
- Must be available to work rotating shifts: days, afternoons, nights
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the shift
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision or with a team
- Must have reliable transportation (location is off bus route)
