Production Technician

This position is responsible for the manufacture of products as per written specifications. Under the guidance of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Chemist is responsible for the setup, operation, and sanitation of all production equipment and rooms. The manufacturing chemist is primarily involved in verifying ingredient grades, potencies, and purities during dispensing; blending, and/or compounding of raw ingredients in either powder or liquid form into finished bulk intermediates.

**JOB DUTIES**
- Verify the identity, potency, and purity of all raw ingredients. Make purchase requests when needed and update raw material inventories.
- Dispense raw ingredients accurately using appropriate dispensing tools and scales.
- Record raw manufacturing data on production documents and update stock cards.
- Blend or process raw ingredients as per manufacturers instructions and complete blending MPDs.
- Perform all duties including sanitation protocols-supervise cleaning of blends and blending rooms, and operate equipment in accordance with cGMPs and all other established safety standards and company policies such as company SOPs.
- Obtain QC Release and release the bulk
- Alert Quality Control Manager in the event that a product defect or other serious problem occurs during production.
- Conduct investigations for products that are out of specification.
- Perform any related duties as assigned. Handle products that require isolation appropriately. Dispose of waste components and products as per SOPs.
- Report any safety concerns, injuries, or illnesses to the supervisor immediately.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
- Preferred a B.Sc. or Diploma in chemistry or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a pharmaceutical, NHP, or food setting
- Ability to run all manufacturing orders in an effective and efficient manner.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- **Ability to lift up to 50lbs**
