**BENEFITS & PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR**

**The Role**

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and customer focused Benefits and Payroll administrator to join our Human Resources Team. This role is primarily responsible to promote and administer the successful delivery of our benefits and wellness programs for Altima Dental on a national level. Secondary, this position will be to support our payroll department with duties as required.

The office is conveniently located within the Yonge & Sheppard Centre office tower in Toronto, steps away from to the Sheppard subway station. Parking is reimbursed. **Responsibilities**:

- Provide frontline plan responses to inquiries regarding eligibility for enrolment and plan options, claims process for benefits
- Administer employee benefits, RRSP, EAP, Wellness and leave programs
- Administer and maintain Dayforce and our benefits software, Effortless admin to audit data to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Responsible to calculate and administer all employee benefits premiums
- Experience with onboarding new acquisitions would be an asset
- Experience with onboarding new employees to benefits programs is required
- Verify adjustments through payroll ensuring any required benefit adjustments are calculated and processed accurately and within required timeline
- Assist in the production of the bi-weekly payroll including maintaining and updating the payroll system, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving any payroll issues
- Maintains and builds employee relationships to respond to and resolve any payroll inquiries for employees in BC, AB, MB, ON, QC, NS, SK,
- Assist in processing payroll for employees including employees hourly and salary, bonus, and holiday pay for all team members in an accurate and timely manor
- Create, maintain, and control employee files and related documentation and records of a payroll and/or HR nature
- Fluency in French would be highly desirable
- Other payroll or benefits duties as required

**What we are looking for in you**:

- Post-secondary education with a preferred focus in Benefits
- Successful completion of or working towards a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is an asset
- Minimum 1 - 3 years’ previous work experience in Payroll/Data Entry working with full cycle payroll systems for medium to large organizations in an administrative capacity is an asset
- Experience in building reports in systems and automating processes
- Experience working with Ceridian Dayforce or other Benefits administration software systems
- Intermediate computer skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft, and Outlook
- Strong communicator - both verbal and written skills and the ability to explain and present information clearly and concisely
- Exceptional attention to detail is required; provide consistent, accurate data entry with the ability to quickly identify errors in the HRIS System
- Ability to work independently with mínimal direction and a strong focus on achieving results
- Ability to build strong professional relationships when dealing with team members and all stakeholders
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to changing business needs with an ability to support multiple departments and clinic locations as needed
