Spin VFX is looking for an ambitious, meticulous, confident, passionate, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to augment our Payroll / Finance team.
PAYROLL
- Review employment agreements.
- Input new hires and exits in Ceridian Dayforce HRIS System.
- Maintain payroll updates in Dayforce (salary title changes and vacation entitlements and balances), create ROE, RRSP deductions and remittances, sick days balances etc.
- Prepare monthly overtime report for end-of-month payment.
- Create entries, run, audit, and commit semi-monthly staff payroll.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer and finance department as needed.
- Attend various meetings with payroll, HR, production, and other departments.
- Create tickets and attend meetings to resolve any issues with Ceridian Dayforce.
**BENEFITS**:
- Maintain and Update employee Insurance Benefits for all companies: Add, delete, and review monthly statements for accuracy, etc.
- RRSP (Ontario): Add/delete members participating in RRSP.
- 401K Plan (USA): update employees’ contributions and submit to Capital Group each pay period.
- MEDCAN: Follow up and review the annual MedCan agreement, submit for approval to the CFO, and ensure all benefits/payments are consistent with the previous year.
- Review and approve invoices as received and submit them to Finance for processing.
TIME TRACKING
- Monitor, process, and update all time off requests (sick, vacation, lieu, unpaid, etc.) via Google Forms, Ceridian Dayforce, and other internal reports.
- Respond to employee’s queries and follow up with departments for Approvals.
- Conduct weekly vacation analysis and audits.
- Time and attendance tracking including entries in Shotgun to ensure there are no time logging errors and if necessary, adjust time logs accordingly.
REPORTS
- Daily/weekly time log reports: flag and/or investigate any discrepancies with individuals’ time logs.
- Generate overtime projections report every week.
- Prepare weekly overtime reports by comparing actual hours worked against overtime projections to ensure there are no discrepancies.
- Attain appropriate approvals on all overtime worked every week.
- Maintain monthly overtime reports and reconcile any discrepancies with department heads.
- Prepare various labour reports as needed by Finance/CFO for tax credits.
- Annual profit-sharing reports
- Annual OCASE spreadsheet for all projects
- Generate monthly Dayforce reports.
- Prepare monthly honour lieu report plus other reports as requested.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll or HR Environment.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Must have Ceridian Dayforce and/or a similar system experience.
- CONFIDENTIALITY IS A TOP PRIORITY.
