This position is responsible for planning and scheduling the plant functions for production. Scheduling inventory availability to ensure the efficient and on-time deliveries for customer orders. Organizes and executes scheduling and capacity planning processes for various product lines and equipment, in a dynamic environment, with constantly changing priorities.

**Job Functions**:

- Coordinates the scheduling of all machines, processes and production activities within the plant. Responsible for customer on-time shipment performance
- Recommends and assists the Production Control Manager for long-range capacity requirements planning, defining capital equipment and strategic utilization of all assets
- Ensures adequate plant inventory levels for work-in-process, raw materials and finished goods, optimizes inventory investments as they relate to plant efficiencies and scrap rates
- Coodinates information flow to the operating departments verbally and via production schedules
- Creates daily production schedules for all equipment
- Updates scheules to balance efficiencies and reflect customer requirments.
- Collaborate with Customer Advocate team to maintain work-in-process inventories to maximize inventory turns and productivity
- Communicate and manage shipping commitments for effective service to all customers and advises customer service and sales of any unplanned delays
- Coordinates with shipping department to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved
- Responsible for compliance with all facility proudct safety (GMP's)/sanitation policies and procedures, working to support all Safe Qualtiy Food (SQF), 5S and other company standards
- Must be supportive of GPI's Mission, Vision and Core Vales (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork)
- Assumes an active role in GPI efforts for Lean, 5S, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes

**Job Requirements**:

- 2 - 5 years manufcturing experience in flexible packaging preferred.
- Must have specialized scheduling training in planning and layout
- Prior customer service experience is a plus
- Must have strong wirtten and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite is a must
