General Labourers

**Solo Cable Solutions Inc.,** based out of Brantford, Ontario, is currently seeking **General Labourers - Telecom Construction** to join our operations in **Southwestern Ontario **for **permanent, full-time **positions. Working with the field supervisors, lead hands and our in-field teams, this position will provide basic labourer tasks for our project teams. There is the opportunity for training and development based on skills and experience brought to the position and as developed on the job.

- Valid, clean Ontario G class License (D/A/AR an asset but not required)
- Criminal Background Check
- Previous experience in the fields of Construction / Telecommunications or transferable skills that align
- Alternate but comparable in-field work experience is an asset
- Knowledge of landscaping/concrete/asphalt repair techniques is an asset
- Practiced knowledge of Book 7 is an asset
- Willing to commute throughout Southwestern Ontario (may extend up to 200 km)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate _before_ starting work (required); A relocation package is not available.

- English proficiency; Excellent customer service

**Responsibilities**:
Assist multiple crews with the maintenance, installation and repair of telecommunication infrastructure including but not limited to:

- Dig pits, open or machine trench; Complete short-distance trenching
- Assist in placing conduit and pulling cables through ducts; Place ground-level boxes, pole anchors
- Assist in landscape restoration projects
- Perform construction tasks using various hand-held tools and equipment. e.g., excavate, back-fill, and move and compact earth; Learn maintenance and repair
- Assist in loading, and unloading materials and tools; Gathering and retrieving tools; Clean and clearing debris from worksites
- Read and understand build prints and built plant according to the prints; Complete, maintain and read as-built drawings
- Commitment to health and safety and willingness to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements.
