**Responsibilities**:

- Review tender documents, plans and specifications
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs
- Solicit and receive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and coordinate with them for execution of jobs
- Obtain field measurements for preparing quotations
- Track project costs and production rate
- Assist forepersons and superintendents in their daily tasks
- Assist in project planning and scheduling
- Assist in maintaining compliance with contract requirements and specifications

**Requirements**:

- Working towards undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (2nd or 3rd year** **preferred**)**
- Ability to work on construction sites while monitoring the crews
- mathematical aptitude to understand drawings and obtain measurements
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with ability to learn estimating software
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail and critical thinking skills to recognize and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and organize activities to meet deadlines
- valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
