Bantrel is hiring to support Bechtel’s new Manufacturing and Technology business. We are looking for talented professionals interested in delivering world class technology projects that will address growing customer and market demands in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, advanced materials, and data center sectors. The project is a large greenfield semiconductor design-build project outside Columbus, Ohio.

This position will be based in Canada and will remotely support the Project teams located in the US. This position can be remotely based anywhere within Canada, providing compliance to Eastern Time Zone requirements.

In this full-time temporary 6 month role (with the potential to be extended longer term), you will be a champion of diversity & inclusion.

**Job Description**:
The Expediting Specialist performs expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project needs. Responsible for the input and assessment of project job-hour and monetary budgets.
- Contacts suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data and to follow-up on material acquisition, production progress and shipment.
- Evaluates production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if their programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements.
- Compiles data needed to prepare the critical items reports or other supplementary reports as required. Coordinates the accumulation of data from project expediters and issues reports for the expediting group.
- Coordinates with planning and scheduling, field material coordinators or jobsite project expeditors and construction to establish priorities, sequences and required delivery dates and instructs suppliers accordingly.
- Expedites engineering for the timely review, approval and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers. Represents expediting at project team meetings.
- Maintains a working file of expediting related documents and memoranda of conversations to record expediting activities. Maintains a system to initiate follow-up actions at appropriate times.
- Provides information for area expediting assignments for prime and suborders as necessary.
- Monitors outstanding area expediting assignments, reviews expediting reports, and takes corrective action on problems identified in the reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree and 3 -6 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work with engineering, construction and the other procurement team members. Good understanding of production methods and stays abreast of all supplier fabrication steps.
- Provides early warning to the Expediting Supervisor of supplier deficiencies or schedule slippage. Familiar with expediting points of order for pre-award and post-award meetings with suppliers.
