The shop Foreman at Midwest Structural oversees all work being done in their area of the facility. Responsible for the orientations of the employees’ job specific tasks as well as educating new employees, visitors and contractors on Midwest’s Health and Safety program and Safety rules. The supervisor is also responsible for PPE compliance throughout the shop. The supervisor keeps a maintenance schedule to ensure that all machinery is keep kept in good working order, and will alert employees of any unsafe area or condition immediately. Supervisors are required to be competent in the following processes.

**Tasks**:
Administrative work including; phone calls, photo copying, filing, incident reporting and investigations

Forklift Operation, if certified

Hoisting and Rigging

Equipment Inspections

Overhead Crane Operation, if certified

Oversee and assist with Loading and Unloading Trucks/Trailers

Product Inspection

Supervisory Work: Assuring corrective action for issues arising are dealt with, in a reasonable amount of time; Enforcing rules and conduct; Delegating, overseeing, and scheduling work in the shop; Reviewing inspections/incident reports and follow-ups; and Customer/co-worker relations

Touring the Facility, Monitoring
