**Credentials**: HET Trailer Journeyman

**Experience**: 3 years in trailer industry, 2 years supervisory

**Job Overview**

As the shop foreman, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

**Specific Skills**:

- Lead, motivate and promote team spirit in fast paced environment.
- Ensure quality standards are met while still maintaining time restraints.
- Organize and assign daily tasks to technicians, laborers and welders ensuring productivity and efficient utilization of time.
- Lead weekly meetings for communication and efficiency.
- Promote and maintain awareness and compliance of health and safety in accordance with company standards.
- Coordinate with parts department daily.
- Guide trouble shooting, inspecting and repairing trailers to detect the extent of malfunctions and faults.
- Test repairs and replacements to ensure proper performance.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, ordering replacements as necessary.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Facilitate communication between management and shop personnel regarding job progress and any issues that arise.

**Additional Skills**:Required to share knowledge, maintain maintenance records, work orders and other documentation as required. The ability to discuss work with the shop supervisor or service controller and adjust to a fast paced environment may also be required.

**Additional Requirements**: Must provide your own steel toed boots and tools. Some positions may also require you to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
