**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Senior Regional HR Business Partner, as the **HR Business Partner** (HRBP) you will provide support in the areas of HR management and services in achieving operational efficiency and productivity.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, mid-range plans, culture and competition.
- Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Conducting recurring meetings with respective Managers.
- Acting as an employee champion and change agent, providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Collaborating with Managers to identify applicable training for employees.
- Recruiting new hires, conducting interviews and making recommendations for short lists.
- Creating offer letters and ensuring all onboarding procedures are completed including all orientations.
- Conducting exit interviews for resignations and retirements.
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to Line Management.
- Ensuring employee documentation and records are maintained and updated in HRIS system.
- Supporting the Senior HR Business Partner with restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Ensuring service awards program is executed in accordance with company policy for the business unit.
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks relating to payroll and benefits administration.

**Essential Requirements**
- Diploma, Certificate or Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Commerce.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner, Generalist or similar role.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Teams) and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now or similar).

**Preferred Requirements**
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Designation or working towards is preferred.

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Regular travel between the Edmonton regional office, Empire Drywall and Star Mechanical locations. Occasional travel to Calgary offices. Overtime may occasionally be required.
